Greetings and salutations,

I have a quick group question here; I often find myself starting a rather long (2hours one-way) trip via public transport. With the 'luxury' that I do not have to transfer and can stay seated the whole time. But because of infrastructural deficiencies I have no or only briefly 4/5G internet connection...
As such my question arises;

What are your go 2 offline IOS or android games/apps/tools for passing the time? Any recommendations?

I often download for the coming day download a podcast/stream to listen to (skeptics guide to the universe, Talk Nerdy, ...) or have played many a game of chess and sudoku, but would like to broaden my horizon a bit...

many thanks for your suggestions,
Kada

I can recommend games by DAN-BALL. They have point n drag games like Monster Box and Stick Ranger.

If you're interested in story driven point n click mystery and horror, I can recommend the Rusty Lake series of games made by the developer with the same name.

If you prefer puzzle mystery, I can recommend The Room series by Fireproof Games.

Maestro's Aspiegaming and enz,

Thank you for the recommendations, I'll give Monster Box, Stick Ranger, the Rusty Lake series and stardash a try.
Yesterday I came across a nice free game: Alto’s Odyssey, I like the smooth visuals and the soothing music.

Kind regards,
Kada

On Belgian public transport a few hours a day but rarely 2h in one :D (only when traveling to hospital).

Tip... if possible and you need to do this a lot, upgrade to 1st class for peace of mind. Lucky summer break is over (my train also continues to the coast). Doesn't help on trains but if you qualify for european disability card, bus fair is free. Unfortunately no way to avoid crowding (I do try to stay away from 'school' busses and prefer to have a coffee and take the next.

No real clue for apps/tools. I usually have a dead tree book with me or trying to test weird crafts to do on a train... (usually need space). When I have nothing and after waking up on the wrong side of the country (sounds harder than it is to foreigners :lol: ) I do have my alarm set every day.

I'm looking at trying apple arcadewhich has a free 1 month trial:

Not sure if JRPG's are for you but theres a game called Fantasian on apple arcade which is standard JRPG but made with 140 handmade real dioramas. Sonic dream team looks good too
