For me one of the best things since sliced bread is kitchen roll

I absolutely love the stuff and when I run out of it; my mind can think of very little else until I replenish my stash

What's your BTSSB?

Texas toast

The bread used is sliced twice as thick as regular sandwich bread.

I made it a couple of different ways depending on which is easiest at the time.

I mix garlic powder into melted butter. For one approach, I brush it on each side of the bread and toast it for about five minutes in a toaster oven. For the other approach, I put the garlic butter onto the griddle and fry the bread until golden brown on one side. Then I add more garlic butter to the griddle and turn the bread over and fry it until golden brown.

Television is my best thing since sliced bread. I would be lost without a TV set.

It might not be the best, but the electric kettle is incredibly useful and came after sliced bread.

Can you imagine having toast but no tea?

I'm sure the old fashioned saucepan on a stove method would have sufficed but as I've gotten used to hot water from flipping a switch I simply don't have the patience for that anymore.

Fun trivia... tv and sliced bread are about the same age... (depending on what you see as tv it is 1925-1928... sliced bread might even be older, 1917 prototype burned down and back in 1926 but some sources claim 1928 for sliced bread making that younger...)

Should rewrite that sentence :D
