Saturn devouring his son.![]()
For those unfamiliar with this Greco-Roman myth, Saturn was the God of Time who once ruled the Titans after slaying his father with a big scythe. He was essentially the inspiration for "Father Time" in the modern use. In a way the infant can be thought of as "Baby New Year".
He was once told a terrible prophecy that one day his own children would overthrow him just as he did his own father. So he tried to prevent the prophecy from coming true by eating his own children, but the prophecy came true anyways when Zues was spared the terrible fate by his mother Rhea and he freed his siblings from Saturn's stomach and they led a successful rebellion against the Titans.
This painting symbolizes the fear that one day the young will overthrow the old and no effort to stop destiny will prevent the inevitable. The Young always eventually overthrow the old just like Generation Z will eventually overthrow the Boomers.
As an old millennial caught in between the age war (I'm 35), this painting sums up my fear for the future of our world. Some Gen Z kids have pretty crazy ideas I don't agree with, and when they put those ideas into power who's to say of the world will be better or worst off afterwards?
Saturn represents the Boomers and other older generations and the infant he holds represents Gen Z. The Boomers have been trying to subdue Gen Z because they fear losing power and all they built.

The Oracle of Delphine seeing prophetic visions while breathing fumes from cracks of her cave floor in the Temple of Apollo.
This was a mood for me the other day when I attempted to do divination through meditation, only I didn't need to rely on toxic fumes or substance to see 'visions'. All I had to do was empty my mind of the controlled thoughts that are constantly in my head and focus on what I could see that intruded my mind at seemingly random.
I saw visions of a giant squid rising from the boiling ocean and a giant crab readying its claws for battle (the Kraken and the Cancer).
I also saw a vision of a big white church with a cross on the roof spreading an angry fire from its building.
The Kraken symbolizes some kind of fear of thr unknown and the bubbling black sea means that fear is coming to the surface to expose the terrible truth that lurks beneath. Thr Cancer (giant crab) symbolizes a willingness to fight and protect that which is precious.
The burning church that appeared so menacingly over me I think symbolizes heated rage and power tripping on the religious right spreading like wildfire. The fire is destructive and can cause pain and death when uncontrolled, and the church was the source.
I believe this all reflects on the fact that following Kirk's assassination Trumpism is now spreading way out of control and we in the states will have to find a way to protect ourselves from this.
Yeah I know what you're all thinking, I'm a total weirdo with nutty beliefs. ![]()
