I just bought a Moto G Power 2025 after dropping my previous cell phone and rendering it nearly useless.

Now I need some kind of case for it to help protect it when it falls out of my pocket. I typically wear a denim vest when it isn't cold out there (keys, pencil, pen, eraser, and stylus in the left pocket and cell phone in the right pocket), but the cell phone falls out way to often.

For my previous phone, I had a case that clipped on the belt that looked something like this:

That worked pretty good but one time it did result in me breaking the front screen on the phone from pressure against my seat belt holder in the car.

There are plenty of somewhat protective things that leave the front screen and the cameras open for use. I would prefer some case that completely enclose the phone and require me to remove it from the case to use it.

Ideally, a full case made from leather that would fit in my vest pocket but with a lanyard attachment that can come up and go around my neck. That way, when it falls out, the lanyard would help protect it from hitting the floor or from the top of a grain elevator all the way to the ground about 200 feet below.

I'm actually thinking of getting a new one that will fit in my pocket and with a belt clip that I can use for a lanyard. And, of course, one that is masculine, not feminine.

What do you use?

Do you have any suggestions for me?

I have had good luck with a hard plastic phonecase and a screen protector.

Have you tried going to a cell phone shop or Best Buy and asking one of the workers there for their advice?

Also, I guess you could look for phonecases that are designed for your phone on Amazon and sort by customer rating. That might be a good way to see what's out there while getting an idea of the quality from the customer reviews.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. I hope that this somehow helps you.

Good luck!

Thanks.

The nearest Best Buy (or equivalent) is about 100 miles away.

I like the customer reviews suggestion.

I went to a presentation a couple of years ago that I didn't know anyone there. The presentation include a really good free meal -- often my best meal of the year.

When I arrived, the presentation had already started. I walked in with my western hat, denim jacket, levis, boots, and bolo tie. On my belt was a western cell phone holster hat stuck out a little beneath my jacket. When I got through getting my food and turned around to find a table, I saw that everyone in the room, including the speaker, was staring at me rather intently. The only thing that I could figure out was that they all thought I was armed because of the bottom of the leather cell phone holster sticking about an inch and a half below the jacket.

After I sat down and started eating, everyone seemed to relax and the presentation resumed.
