I recently stumbled upon this website.

Favorite games: Platformer franchises such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Spyro the Dragon, and Crash Bandicoot. I also enjoy chess.

Favorite music: I listen to every genre of music. Recently, I have grown quite fond of melodic rock and alternative/indie. Of Monsters and Men, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alabama Shakes, Coldplay, and so on and so on.

Favorite movies and shows: One Piece, Dragon Ball, The X-Files, the Matrix movies, the Ice Age movies, Zootopia, Star Trek, and the superhero genre.

Hi Werecat and welcome to the WrongPlanet. Amazingly, those three video games are also among my favorites, especially Crash Bandicoot. Though I probably enjoyed the gameplay of Crash #2 the best, I always seemed to be the most fascinated with the first one, with the islands -- that is if I had the cheat code for the many lives.

In the older music, I usually listen to easy listening/jazz types like Bert Kaempfert, Ray Conniff, and Billy Vaughn. However, I like a fair amount of pop music too -- especially the older. I liked the music of REM very much.

I also loved Star Trek. My favorite genre is horror -- the older ones. Some of my favorites are The Old Dark House (1932), Carnival of Souls (1962), and Duel (1971), to name a few.

I hope you enjoy this site.

Thanks for the welcome, Carbonhalo and glider18.

I played the first two Crash games as a kid, on the PS1. Yeah, the second game is a blast. The first game is fun as well, though it did take me many tries to beat the "Road to Nowhere" level. :D

REM are one of my favorite bands of all time. A lot of easy listening/jazz and pre-1970 oldies music is good too. I have been checking out some of those types of music channels on Internet radio websites and heard some great tunes from artists like Billie Holiday, Thelonious Monk, The Rolling Stones, and so on.

Some horror movies are good too. I recently watched the original "Candyman" movie, and a cartoon movie that features some horror tropes called "Night of the Zoopocalypse". Those other movies look interesting too, particularly "Carnival of Souls".

Carnival of Souls was directed and produced by Herk Harvey who made many of the educational films seen throughout American schools years ago. He decided he wanted to make a horror movie and had a script written by John Clifford. Shot on a bare minimum budget of $33,000, Harvey was able to create a masterpiece (though it did not meet with much success in 1962). It was later on, perhaps the 80s, that it became a cult classic. Nowadays, many horror movie critics regard it as one of the scariest horror movies ever created. Herk Harvey also has a part in his own movie. He is the main ghoul. I love the pacing and atmospheric black and white of the film.

Thanks. I used to be a member here many, many moons ago so I am not really new, new. I love movies. I don't go to the movies often as cinemas are full of people. But I watch a lot of movies at home. I am developing the taste of a cinephile the last few years. I'm watching the kind of movies they probably watch at film school.
