So I am left on my own for a few days...Flakey has to fly to New York because his Grampy died..This means I will run two shows with just our sound guy (who makes me nervous) and me...
I am too shy to ask anyone I know for help...and don't actually really know anyone I can trust.
I think that I can handle everything ok...including cleaning all of SHFL and preparing the art gallery for a new exhibit....am waiting any minute for my executive functioning skills to magicly kick in.
But uh....how you say....
I think it is gonna be tough.
I am constantly having to remind myself of all this stuff all the time. It is not coming naturally.
I am also pet sitting two kittens on top of everything else.
Today, as I was riding my bike, a red truck kept driving slowly and honking at me. On one hand, it coulda been someone I know..perhaps my uncle has a new truck..but the windows were tinted..I didn't want to look very closely inside..it case it actually was a stranger...anywhoo...it creeped me out...and I am still kinda trying to recover....that was about half an hour ago....
It sucks how little stuff will set me off...and there are gonna be so many potential oppertunities for stuff like that to happen.....I have already made a bad impression on the artist who is hanging her stuff. Sometiems when I am dealing with people by myself, I have a tendancy to panic. Sometimes it causes them to panic.
I don't mind being alone...but I there are alot of things I kinda have a difficult time with...and not having a support network (Flakey)just for a few days is gonna be weird.

The red truck...maybe it was because you were on the road, some of these truckers think they own it. If it's anything like over here a lot of drivers think cyclists should magically disappear when they want to get past you. Or maybe he was showing off...'hey, look at me, I've got a big red truck!'
Would it help to write stuff down you've got to do? I do that when I'm very busy, it's easier than trying to remember everything and in what order/importance I've got to remember to do things.
Remember, you're not totally alone. If it helps to talk more during the next few days,
we're here, so make the most of WP. Good luck, and try to relax whenever you can. Playing with the kittens might help with that.

I agree....and it wasn't just honking..it was the driving slowly and sorta tailing me that bothered me....whats more is I was not dressed attractively at all...in my current physical shape, it is close to impossible.
Anyway....I am doing better for now. Flakey has called several times...he is in Chicago....Tomorrow is the day that I have to go into work early and deposit checks and finish cleaning and meet the artist so she can hang her stuff, and um...run this big giant teen show only with help from the sound guy.
Flakey keeps telling me to find someone to help me, but I literally can think of noone...he says I should ask some of the regular kids to help me...but i am not really on speaking terms with any of them, and honestly my face-blindess is such that i can hardly tell one from another.
woohoo..that will be funny fun!

BTW...I managed to survive the weekend successfully.
Flakey came back yesterday morning..he is still jetlagged.
I had a few friends who showed up and helped out a little bit (cooincidentally some of my more aspie-like long-term acquaintances)

I'm very sensitive, myself. However, it can sometimes be a good thing when it comes to love. Still, I can easily get offended.
