Do you ever have feelings of burnout? What do you do about it?

I think I may be suffering from it. I feel stuck in a place I was meant to have left by now.

Hello,

Yes, I've had personal experience with burnout.

If this is your first time experiencing burnout you don't have much to worry about, just take time for yourself and get lots of rest.

I would suggest looking into what caused the burnout in the first place, and adjust your life accordingly to avoid it happening again.

The dangerous thing about burnout is that if you just ignore it and repeatedly push through it, chronic fatigue can set in and you do not want that.

Trust me, I am speaking from experience.

I've experienced burnout in the January of 2016. It stemmed from me trying too hard to wear the family name and impress my parents. I decided that just being myself was the best thing to do. I haven't had any breakdowns since than.

Yes. At least twice.
First was at high school, second was some time early mid 20s.

I have the privilege to put my own life on hold to recover.

And then as it turns out, my main culprit was chronic stress from an unmanageable chronic condition that everyone seem to ignore in favor of thinking this is just a part of being autistic.

No masking, no insane expectations, no responsibilities or pressure. Nor even hostile sensory environments.

Just this damn noisy body that's being hostile itself, with an ego with inane expectations.
