An Adelaide teacher in South Australia has been stood down after he dressed as assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk for Halloween.

This is really the wrong era to be emulating Americans

That costume didnt seem to be appropriate for school. Schools are against drugs and violence and alcohol. It breaks school dress codes.

^^^Actually zombies and half dead corpses with blood are what half the kids dress up as for Halloween.
I think the school administration overreacted in standing the teacher down.

Second one in South Australia, earlier in the year a police officer was sacked for posting jokes about Charlie Kirk. It's quite bizarre how local government in Australia is sensitive to a MAGA social media movement.

There's a difference between dressing up as a make-believe zombie and dressing as an actual assassinated political figure. Seems extremely poor taste to me.

It's bad taste and strange behaviour from a teacher to dress up in that way. I think it would be bad taste regardless of who the killed person were, like an executed serial killer or something.

That's way too scary for school.

That was in very bad taste what that teacher did.

It's because MAGA people are the biggest crybaby snowflakes in the world and they love Cancel Culture as long as they're the ones doing it. Considering how thin-skinned their cult leader is, it makes sense.

Just a reminder that these people spent five years mocking George Floyd with "I can't breathe" memes. Now that one of their own got killed, all of a sudden you can't say anything about it.

except they consider Kirk to be a messiah or second coming. He died for their sins (and they have been doing plenty of sinning since 2016).

It's in very bad taste and someone who has been an educator for as long as he was, should have known better. You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

It's pretty bad taste for people to mock George Floyd's death, but that doesn't stop most right-wingers from doing it.

George Floyds death was used politically

Whether your right or left the poor guy died for using a fake $20 bill and shouldn't be mocked
