Hi,

I just wanted to ask if anyone struggles with Hashimoto's/hypothyroidism at all. I was diagnosed last month and it's been a horrendous journey so far. Just was curious to hear if anyone else in the community struggles with it as well. I am currently on a medication called Levoxyl which is a hormone replacement but on a small dose because I had issues tolerating hormone medication. I've been having issues with heat sensitivity, bad brain fog, episodes of dizziness, fatigue and just all around not feeling well. I remember hearing bits and pieces of this disease over the years but never thought I would have to experience it firsthand. I'm going to have a thyroid ultrasound tomorrow. Hoping that maybe it will give some more insight.

I have found for myself that taking Taurine 1000 mg and Omega-3 supplements seems to help with some of the brain fog.

I have hypothyroidism. The doctor hasn't done the tests to see if it is from Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.

Thyroid issues run in the family so I'm taking a tiny dose of hormones.

That's good and thank you for sharing! Hope they have been helpful to you! So far mine hasn't been too much but I haven't been on them very long. To my knowledge thyroid or autoimmune issues don't run in my family but I suspect it must somewhere. My Grandma on my Dad's side has issues with vertigo and dizziness since she was in her 30's and I did some research and found that inner ear issues and vertigo can be caused by Hashimoto's or Thyroid issues. I'm going to ask if it's possible she may have had some thyroid issues.

I have really high thyroid antibodies (TPO Ab) but my hormone levels are still in the normal range so I'm not on medication.
Feel really bad though. It's not fun.
