What I try to do is ground myself when this happens and sometimes it helps and other times not so much and I just go with it. I don't think I am dealing with Dissociation - rather (in my case) depersonalization-derealization-disorder - but I know people that deal with this and it not easy at all. I DEFIANTLY have that surreal disorder most all of the time as well - I know it all too well.

Try to not beat yourself up too much and be understanding that this is your mind straying away from reality because its can't deal any other way.
