What do you guys think?

Also, which Christmas Carols/songs are overrated?

Thanks in advance!! !

EDIT: I tend to like the fast-paced happy & fun religious carols and secular Christmas songs (Santa, Rudolph, Frosty etc...)

I don't care for the slow kind of stuff

That is my preference

I've always liked The Carol of the Bells.

If I never hear "all I want for christmas is you" again, I'd be happy.

Here are a variety of Christmas songs. Including some Japanese ones.

Tatsuro Yamashita - Christmas Eve

Mariya Takeuchi - Sutekina Holiday

Chieri Ito - Merry Christmas

μ's - Snow Halation (more of a winter song than Christmas song)

Darlene Love - Christmas, Baby Please Come Home

Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Carol of the Bells

Jimmy Buffet - Christmas Island

Louis Prima - Pennies from the Heaven (not a Christmas song but hey it played in Elf)

And finally... the most important song on this list. Bart Simpson's cover of "Jingle Bell's Batman Smells!"

I'm unsure which camp it would fit into more, but falling down the Roy rabbithole brought it to my focus.

This song makes me want to speed in a Toys R Us truck while delivering toys.

The most overrated Christmas carols IMHO are:

-The First Noel
-The Little Drummer Boy
-Oh Holy Night

Incredibly irritating, massively overrated and now I have my weekly shop delivered I'm not forced to listen to it in the supermarket.
It gets wheeled out Every. Sodding. Year. like some sort of seasonal audio punishment ritual.

Slade - "Merry Xmas Everybody".
And no, I'm not going to link to it :x

Apparently "'Merry Xmas Everybody’ by Slade is one of the most iconic British Christmas singles of all time, peaking at number one in the UK in 1973, having sold over a million copies on its first run."

Sigh... There is no hope...
Mindless pap then, and mindless pap now.

I remember I went into Tesco one time and they were playing that particular song, in March! It was a bit distracting having an iconic Christmas tune playing when you're trying to look for a mother's day card in springtime.

Are there any reputable free sources to download sheet music or MIDI files of classic public domain Christmas carols?
