Superbad
It was film I thought I would enjoy, but my reaction was it super bad ("oh. funny. ha ha."). In 2007, I could not stomach Jonah Hill's character.
I'm going to watch it again tomorrow morning, to see if my reaction has changed. I was forty-eight when I first saw the film. I know reactions can change over time. I genuinely have no idea if I will find enjoyment more now than when I watched it back then. Back then, I almost walked out. I've never walked out of a movie, unless I was paged.
I know this is not what you are asking for, but I'm more interested in if something's perceived value can change with time and growth?
I expected to like Superbad, because I had never seen a Michael Cera film, or series, that I did not enjoy. I did not anticipate Jonah Hill's character though. His character was totally self centered. I recall him treating his friend horribly. I don't remember any details.

Gone With the Wind.
I told myself I would never like it because of the racist way it potrays slavery in the Old South, but after I gave it a watch I began to understand why it's considered one of the greatest classics of all time. A lot of hard work was put into this movie and Rhett and Scarlet were both endearing characters.
In fact I'd even go so far as to say that despite the racist stereotypes this movie was actually proto-feminist in a way. Scarlet didnt take crap from any man and did whatever she had to in order to survive the Ametican Civil War.
Superbad (this post is riddled with spelling and grammar errors. I've been distracted. Sorry)
In short, my reaction was not as repulsed as when I first saw the film in 2007.
It is still difficult to watch, but after Johan Hill's character, it was funny with a large dose of cringe. Michael Cera aka Evan. Funny. I liked his character. Christopher Mintz-Plasse aka Fogell aka McLoven. Funny and the classic nerd. Bill Hader aka Police Officer. Funny. Seth Rogen aka other Police Officer. Funny. Johan Hill aka Seth. At times, I felt sorry for him, but he would quickly dash that with being Towards the end of the story, he does something that isn't totally self centered.
Is this my favorite film? No. Is it a good film. I suppose I could make an argument for it being a good film. In the end Johan Hill's character learns a lesson, the two friends come to grips with their inevitable separation in life as their education futures take them in different directions.
It is about three guys. The women in the film are underaged and their characters are developed just enough that they don't come of as sluts or ding bats. Emma Stone's character was especially nice because she gave the least likable character a chance. Johan's character really wants to be liked and fit in.
This is probably more than asked for, so I hid most of it. I've mentioned Superbad before as being my least favorite film because of Jonah Hill's character, and I thought I would give an overview my staggering about face opinion. Note "staggering" may seem like sarcasm, but the film really was not as repulsive it use to be to me. I think some of that is seeing this is a movie about neurodivergent teens, not necessarily autistic, with some neurotypical bullies and immature police thrown in for spice.
Seth Rogen was the co-writer, so I'm going to recklessly assume it is autobiographical because Jonah's character is named Seth, and that I'll believe Seth the Writer spent his youth featuring penis's as the main character of his many imaginative drawings.
After some time has past, I will probably watch my other least favorite film, Cool as Ice.
