If the humans in Stuart Little can hear Stuart and Margalo talk, why can't they hear Snowbell talk?

Because of the undeserved reputation cats get for being "mean". I know that doesn't make sense, but neither does the humans understand or hearing a mouse and a bird but not a cat. Hollywood loves their animal stereotypes, but I don't. Mice nice, cats bad, dogs loyal. Yuck. :(

My mom watched the movie and didn't care for it. But she said she liked the cats because they were funny. I've never watched the movie but I read the book. I didn't like how it ended just leaving me hanging there, never knowing if Stuart ever found Margalo and returned home. His family was probably worried sick about him. Although the chapter where he's a substitute teacher for a day is pretty funny.

Stuart Little was NEVER a mouse in the original book. Just a very, very tiny little human boy the SIZE of a mouse. He was changed to a mouse for the movie version because people would FLOCK to the theater to see a cute little mouse over a disfigured child.

Tom Thumb comes to mind when I think of a movie with a tiny human.
