Scott Adams passed away today at age 68 from prostate cancer. he had been suffering for a while. in his own words he was "past his expiration date." he recently adopted Christianity and that gave him some last minute comfort.

one should not speak ill of the dead, but in recent years his life got tougher because he said things that perhaps he might have rephrased or not said at all. many newspapers quit his cartoons as a result. but trumpy liked him and eulogized him.

It's a shame he spent his final years pissing all over his legacy.

I used to enjoy Dilbert quite a bit when I was younger.

I wonder why?

Given how clever and funny Scott was with Dilbert, his comments about black people smacked of dreary centuries old racist attitudes that he carried with him all his life. His foray into Christianity late in life may be more about atonement for the pain he unnecessarily caused many Dilbert fans who were probably shocked what he really thought of them in his heart.

I hope he was able to make peace with himself, RIP.
