I can't speak about the tool at all, but when I worked in a factory I often noticed that if I hurt one knee or ankle or hip that I'd end up with pains in the other leg (and my back) not long after because of how the body tries to compensate and protect the sore side.
It sounds like your app is detecting that same compensation/asymmetry.
