I started mowing yards when I was about 8. It was a chore. Also I wondered about if child labor laws applied to mowing yards as a kid. Did anyone else do blue collar work or odd jobs for cash as a kid? I think operating dangerous equipment like a lawnmower is different than just a regular chore.

It isn't really a thing we do over here, and I don't know if that's a legal thing or just a cultural thing. Paper rounds yes, lawn mowing no. (I did mow our own lawn as teenager, which was fun until the time I ran over a frog.)
