I am not sure if this is a good idea, but maybe you will like it. I propose a new forum "Just For Fun" (in lack for better name), that would be for humor, jokes and funny stories. It would be a place to go if someone needs mood lifting, or just for entertaining. People could post humor that they have found elsewhere, or links to funny sites. Real life stories would be welcome, provided that they describe funny or unusual situations and convey positive thinking. Or just use funny style, even when subject is a mundane thing. Rants and self-pity would be absolutely forbidden on this forum. 
We have some humor threads already, but they are scattered around the board. What do you think?

We have some humor threads already, but they are scattered around the board. What do you think?Yes magic, that is a good idea. For in humor and/or figure of speech, many meanings and understandings can be derived and understood by the literal concrete thinker. The problem is there are lurkers who look for real life humor of those suffering in trying to mesh with the rest of the world. To find funny stories for television and such for personal gain. Sometimes the stories aren't so funny to the person sharing them. As they didn't intend them to be funny.
However, in my experience in living with such people all my life, when they can laugh at themselves along with others, it is quite funny and uplifting. While I don't think the sexual discussions (within reason) should be on a closed forum, I do think the sharing of humor in personal stories might be.

, for example, I never understood why I was taught to respect my elders. It led to an interest in wanting to help children, who can't vote, therefore seem to have no rights, understand and live a less confusing life. In the seeking of such, I finally understood the logic of respecting one's elders from humor. I derived the understanding that it is sometimes more difficult to grow old than it is to grow up.
