My mother thought seriously of calling me Anna or Mary... my father wanted to call me Caitlin, but my mother insisted on calling me Katharine... my father also likes the name Salem for a girl; he said if it was his choice he would name his girl(s) Caitlin and/or Salem... my mother also liked Emily, I think.

I know my Father wanted to call my sister Shelly... but didn't get to.

I was born in colombia, south america with the name Nubia, but when I was adopted and brought to north america, my mother named me Adrienne, but if it wasn't going to be Adrienne, I would have been named Wren.....weird eh? I rather just keep my spanish name Nubia, but, I'm happy with Adrienne haha.

I was almost called Steven. If I had been a girl, my name would have been Leah.

Marie Elizabeth would have been my name.

She ended up calling me this when she was really mad at me. She said it was bc "I couldn't be her sweet little (real name) when I was acting like such a devil"

So...if I ever have a girl, I will name her Marie Elizabeth for the sentimental value (and I'm sure if she takes after me she'll be a little devil  )

I would have been called by my middle name instead of my given first name.

My parents never thought of a boy's name.

If I ever have children (unlikely), it would be Roger for a boy and Katherine or Eleni for a girl. (I'm not Greek, but I think Eleni is a pretty name.)

My father wanted Alexander. If I was a girl, I would have been Michelle.

My mother wanted Leisel, Samantha, Jessica, and something else; the first she finally decided against (she was really set on it for awhile) because she didn't think anyone would pronounce it correctly; the rest she discarded because of the nicknames. I would have had my brother's name had I been a boy.

My mother wanted to call me Katherine...
My father wanted to call me Ellen

But I am called Brittany as that is what they both agreed on.

If I was a boy I was going to either be Thomas or Ryan.

Something weird; I cannot remember what it was for the same reason (weird). My sister has a cool and rare name. My mother tends to be..."interesting" with her naming convention.

I like Daniel and names pronounced like it, Samuel for example.

God ain't my judge, however.

Ok, before I was born, my parents believed firmly that I'd be a girl (no idea why). So they proceeded to name me Melinda, and painted my room lavender. I can just imagine the looks on their faces when they found out that I was a guy.

And no, my name is not Melinda. They were smart enough to change it to a guy's name.

"April Joy" was the plan. (Oh look, she was born in April, how cute, and etc.)

But for some reason, they both went... uh... she doesn't seem like an April for some reason... how about Amanda?

And I choose to believe that was because my WILL was strong enough to scream my true name into their brains, or at least a truer one, because I was NOT going to end up as an April.

I also would have Loved to be named Alethia Joy. (means Truth)
