After my very creative thread title, I'm sure everyone is dying to read this. Don't worry, I'll attempt to keep it short.
Hello everyone, my name is Lizzie...but I will be honest, that's not my real name. I'm sure everyone can understand why I'd feel uncomfortable giving my real name-so I decided my nickname for this site will be Lizzie. It's actually not to far off from my real name, so it's ok.
I haven't been professionally diagnosed with Aspergers...and heck, I don't even think I can count myself as self-diagnosed. Everyday I bounce back and forth with, "No I can't have AS. I'm just a social cripple trying to make excuses for herself." and other days I go, "It's ok. So you freaked out some NT with your aspie ways, no big deal." I do have most of the symptoms for AS...but it still feels like I'm just making an excuse for being a horrid social cripple. I won't lie, I'd be thrilled if I could know for sure that I had it. That way I'd know that it's not just my disgusting personality that seems to insult people so much. But I refused to be classified as a hypochondriac who insists they have every disease in the book.
So the reason I joined would be that I've seen some great advice here. ^^ A lot of the methods I've come across on sites like these have truly helped me. I actually went to a club the other day with some friends and they REMEMBERED MY NAME. I can tell you that that's never happened before.
On a lighter note, I consider myself a writer. Not a professional one, but a writer definitly. I'm not very good yet, but there's still nothing that can compare to the feeling of writing a good story that other people enjoy.
I won't take up anymore of your time now, if you read this far I applaud you. Sorry for any misspellings, but I couldn't be bothered to use spell-check right now. And if I happen to be breaking any sort of rule at anytime, feel free to yell at me. Just be gentle about it, or I may cry. I hope we can get along, see you around the forums.
