Hey, everybody. I'm Stevopedia. I was diagnosed with AS when I was 11 (I'm 16 now). I stumbled upon this site while reading up on AS on Wikipedia yesterday. I quickly realized that I'd fit right in, so here I am!

Nice to meet you. I was diagnosed at 5, but only because I solved most social problems by biting. Now I'm 24, married to another Aspie, and work as a TSS with more severely affected autistic kids. (It seems I'm very good at solving what they want and playing the silly games that promote speech.) Now, do the rest of you have pretty regular stims? I'm finding that for an Aspie, I seem to stim more than most. But then, it's just so dang fun.

Hello Stevopedia (brilliant name by the way :D). I was diagnosed with Autism when I was 2 but I didn't find out until I was 12. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I do (or even MORE).

Regards, mightyzebra

Oh, you got the old "don't say anything and it'll all be fine" treatment plan too! I wasn't told until my freshman year of college, when my younger brother was having too many problems coping and mom needed advice. Ooh, it took me years to not be mad that she could tell me for herself, but not when I was in school with no friends and a mildly suicidal outlook. But, I guess I turned out okay anyhow.
