Me? No. Now how about you?

If your story is interesting enough (and it probably will be!) please see the "Let's write a book" thread in General Autism Discussion; we want your stories!

Pay me some really good money and I can make up a story about being locked in Guantanmo Bay with Stephen Colbert ordering pizza all the time!

I was arrested a few days after the president announced we were at war with Iraq. I was about 15 and huge protests were going on in San Francisco. I was walking along the sidewalk downtown and there were a few hundred people in the street demonstrating. Before I knew it cops in riot gear had blocked off both ends of the street and announced that everyone was going to be arrested. I wasn't a part of the protest and neither were some other people who just happened to be in the area, but we were all arrested anyways. I was handcuffed and put in a paddywagon with other minors and taken to a police station. One police officer told a 13 year old girl that she was going to be taken from her parents and put into foster care. She got really upset and then the officer said "just kidding!". Honestly, I think the main thing on my mind at the time was how bad I had to pee. When we got to the police station I learned that I couldn't use the bathroom without an officer accompanying me. I have a phobia about using public restrooms with other people in them so I had to hold it. The officers passed out bags of teddy grahams and when some kids said they weren't hungry, the officers yelled at them. When my Dad came to pick me up after a few hours at the station, a police officer told him I was told to clear the street and that I refused which was why I was arrested. Considering I don't intentionally join large crowds and at the time had no real opinions on the war, that officer was full of it. :x

Anyways, I had to go to court and the judge believed me so I got off without a fine or community service which is what most people got. It wasn't jail, but it's funny to think that I was arrested at 15. Just another reason I don't like living in a big city. Arrested for walking down a street.

I spent a night in jail back when I was 19. I was in a nightclub and a friend of mine had had too much to drink and was in a sour mood because a girl he liked was seeing someone else. He ended up making some lewd comments to a scantily clad bartender that ended up with the girl calling for the bouncers. We were walking out of the bar when I turned around to see him getting pummeled by this big and really tall bouncer. I asked the bouncer what his problem was since we were leaving. He ended hitting me in the face hard enough to drop me to one knee.

I got pissed and ended hitting him and then picking him and throwing him across a stairwell into a glass mirror. I just started walking out of the place while everybody stood there staring at me with stunned looks on their faces since I am known to have a laid back nature. We got outside and the other bouncers confronted my friend who ended with a shiner and the rest of face swelling up to were he looked like he had been a horrible accident. Luckily, the cops came before the other two bouncers could do anything. Fortunately, no charges were ever brought up against me or my friend who I havent seen in years.

Never been in prison, however when I was a student my classrooms were just opposite of the local prison. Not just the same street but really next to the classrooms. From the classroom window you could see the prison garden and even look into some of the cells.

I was in jail for a day for an unpaid speeding ticket. My story isn't too exciting.

I was arrested and charged for carrying a serrated kitchen knife, but I was only kept in a cell for a few hours after they picked me up. They took me home afterwards, too. I think they hoped that my parents would be angry with me; but they just said "Oh, okay." They are used to my weird adventures.

I collect knives, now.

Aridarr, everyone has the right to bear arms! This is horrible! You didn't USE the knife; you jsut carried it. It wasn't a gun. Do you need a licence to own and carry knives now? 8O :x

Wait... does serrated mean bloodstained?...

In the UK it illegal to bear arms. We can't even carry pepper-spray...

I was in a holding cell for a little bit during my wild collage years. Its a weird story, short and sweet me and my roommate had a small party, too many people attended, instead of dealing with the crowd I started a fire and kept it going so everybody could be warm have light and people would leave me alone, we were not to have fires but we were in a seculded part of campus and we were way in the mountains, the party turned rough, fights broke out, security was alerted and along came the state police, because I started the fire, i ran into the woods, I was quite drunk and eventually to my dismay caught (all the sqaure miles of wilderness and mountains all around, I had to cross this road where the police happened to be driving by and saw me emerge, not sure if they were looking for me, i gave up and sat in a holding cell.

and when I was little:

My uncle, when I was little was a cop, and took me to the empty jail for his very small town, I wanted to see what it was like, he put me in a cell that locked automaticly when shut, then told me he had lost the key and i would have to be in their for a while. My grandmother was with me and laughed when my uncle told me that, I did not think it was funny i started crying  and was let out. heh
