I have created a song/CD for charity. The CD involves me singing. I am selling this CD. It has one song on it. I wrote and sung the song myself. It sells at £2.
The charity is a learning disability charity. It is called Mencap. I am closely personally associated with this charity. My brother and I go to it.
Today is Children In Need Day in the UK. My school had a Children In Need assembly. Everyone wanted me to sing the song I am selling in this assembly.

Review the facts. I could not sing this song in assembly, even if I wanted to. This is a Children In Need Day. My song is for Mencap charity. If I sung a Mencap song in the Children In Need assembly, I would be hypocritical.

Am I right or am I wrong?

It doesn't really matter for what purpose the song was originally written for. If the lyrics and music are a good fit for the occasion, I see nothing wrong with it. After all, charities do not compete for money. They all help the cause.

What kind of song is it?

I'm afraid you’re wrong. Charities are fiercely competitive. My friend works in the charity sector. That is why I want to volunteer for NAS but only on befriending and services side not the fundraising. Although I would useless at fundraising anyway.

That's a very nice thing you are doing. It's always good to help out a charity. :)
