This just came across a Boston web site:

Note that this only covers 1% of people with autism. However, the odds that someone will get autism
if they have this mutations are 100 times higher than if they don't.

Derr. Us non-morons have known about the hereditary/genetic nature of autism for quite a while now.

The whole mercury and vaccine toxin thing is for people who want to sell you their book. Like Kevin Troodow (or however the f**k you spell his freak surname).

Interesting but not quite the "break through" claimed in the article. Its been pretty common knowledge since the seventies (at least among researchers in the field) that autism and related disorders are biologically caused by genetics and brain function and structure abnormalities. They just can't isolate specific genes as its too complex or determine the exact cause of these causers. Also it can be said that diagnosed cases have "skyrocketed" yet the concept of an actual rise or "epidemic" is still hotly debated.
