has the potential to be just as opressive as a complete patriarchy.
Any time any group of people has power at least some of them are going to abuse it.
Also, being violent, yelling at people, casting stereotypes on the opposite gender, and dreaming of eliminating the opposite gender aren't things that make you a strong, independent woman, and I definitely can't see how they'd make you a "feminist".
All that kind of behavior proves is that you are mentally unstable.
Unfortunately that seems to be the popular definition of "feminism" these days, which is a real shame.
Just so you know, I support woman's rights, I just don't support prejudice or any expression thereof on the part of any group of people or any representative thereof.

hmmm...this isn't your mother's feminism..;)

The old 'you don't have to be a lesbian to hate men' sort of feminism is about as prevalent as hippies today. It's still out there, but, like all movements, has evolved over time.

Simone De Bouvior (sp?) is probably rolling over in her grave at 'post-feminism' nowadays..;) Many young women take feminist gains for granted. There's still problems to be solved, but some actual progress has been made.
