today, in an effort to cheer me up, my hubby decided to take me to our town's annual 'sno-fest'. it was our first time going in the ten years we've lived here.

what a disaster that turned out to be...

it turns out that it is more geared towards kids...little kids...and there were sooo many of them, running around, having fun, having fun with other kids, having fun with their parents.

all it did was remind me of the fact that i will never be one of those parents...or ever have a kid of my own to play with at one of these events. i, unfortunately, am unable to have children.

we didn't stay long, and when we left, i was pretty much if full meltdown mode...it took a while for me to be able to communicate to my hubby why i was in such a state. he had no idea that it would have had that kind of effect on me, else we never would have gone.

hell, i didn't know it was going to have that kind of effect on me.

so now, where a day ago i was actually starting to come out of my last round of depression, i now find myself spiralling out of control yet again.

all because i wanted to have some fun.

Even if it did go downhill, take comfort in the fact that hubby wanted to do something for you, and that he obviously does love and care for you.

And sometimes there are setbacks on the road, it's up to you how you navigate them.
