I was so set on moving out of home. I thought everything was going to be fine. Like usual though...something has to go wrong!

This time, it wasn't what anyone did that made it hard to do something...it's myself thats making it hard which is the stupid thing about it. I just can't seem to adapt to anything! I mean, I know this is a big change, but really...I should be able to do it. It's not like anything really bad happened today. I went to the home today for a day trip...went food shopping, went for a walk and watched a bit of tv before I went home.
The transition is just too hard and I don't think I will move out anymore. I mean, I am only 16, I have a few more years before it's necessary anyway.

Just that I always do this with things. When I tried to go to a different high school two years ago, I went for one day, came home, had a complete meltdown and refused to go back. I just wish that I could adapt better. If I don't, then it's going to control my life and I wont get anything done.
Things aren't always as easy as they first appear...and this is one of them.

Do you have any supportive apartment programs in your area? Here in the USA, in my hometown, there are community residences for young people your age and then, they move on to apartments where they are given "support" and all kinds of
assistance to help them become independent. There is even a support group for teens and young adults at least age 15 and older...to get together and talk.

I live in New York State and it is one of the BEST states to live in if you are poor, disabled and need assistance. Most people here will eventually qualify for SSI or Social Security Disability (if they have to start out on public assistance) and the state will cover your medical needs through the state program, Medicaid.

Most young people your age are also, involved in a high school and later, go to a college (whether for two years or four years) to help them eventually get a job, even if they can only work parttime. Working in any kind of job helps to build one's self-esteem as well as a reason to get up every morning.

Good luck!

Brittany,

Can't you just go there for a little holiday?

Say a couple of weeks?

ie: Pack some stuff but don't "move out"

imo you should go back to school before worrying about moving out, you're way too young for that ;/

This would be an option if my mother wasn't trying to force me out of home.
