Excuse me please, but I need to have a good rant...

I am REALLY angry, upset and several other unidentifyable emotions right now. I was diagnosed with AS, Tourette syndrome and SEVERE OCD last year and I am STILL getting no help. I am not too bothered about the TS because there is nothing that can be done about that but I keep thinking how ******* annoying it is that no one helped me with my OCD when it was mild. It is not as if it was invisible.

No one has sat down with me and helped me deal with the news. No one has told me what happens next. My psychiatrist says he 'knows nothing' about my conditions. So how the HECK did he get a psychiatric qualification then? I thought OCD at least was covered by this.

My Mum keeps yelling at me because I can remember things one day but forget the next. Part of my TS means I have poor short term memory and therefore cannot always remember how to do basic things. I just wish she would get up and help me cope instead of yelling that she 'told me how to do that last week'. I may have done it last week but that doesn't guarantee I can remember now!

Sorry for ranting, I just need to moan to someone other than my pet bunny...

You're right on the psychiatrist .. if he/she has no clue about your condition and doesn't know how to help you...

its time to find a new psychiatrist.

If a plumber can't fix your clogged toilet you better find one that can or you'll drown in your own crap.

sorry for the colorful analogy but you get the point. ;)

What sort of help do you want?

If it's advice, post here.

If it's medication, consider a different doctor.

If it's financial, you'll need to check government support in your area - and get your conditions properly documented and presented.
