Me, Berserker, Tim_Tex, username88, Yoshie777, Comet, and others seem to have the need for attention, either on or offline, but don't want to be put down for it because it's the last thing we need; anyone else want to join the club?

Me I especially hate being called a smartass though, I'M NOT TRYING TO BE!!

I have been accused of trying to get attention on another forum by a former wp member.

Here is a great one for you, have been trying to have raise awareness on SmileCity here in NZ and here is one of the replies:

But I often feel this prejudgment and stigma often stop people wanting to really understand, the very people who just brush off the idea that people on the spectrum are just different, usually are the ones who do not want to face up to their own differences.

I am often accused of seeking attention :/ It's not really what I try, I just don't want to be ignored, which I tend to be if behaving normally and so I do crazy stuff so people at least interact with me as much as 'WTH are you doing' .

I've been accused of virtually everything.

people thought i was an attension seeker because i got angry alot. it was actually because A they bullied me and B attention makes me angry and scared

People using "John is seeking attention" rather than "John needs love and respect" just shows a disgusting, "us and them"-style lack of empathy if you ask me. Nonody deserves it. Like what CRACK said, people don't understand kids, because they often don't have the vocabulary to communicate that they want love and respect, so instead they get accused of attention-seeking, which is the same thing. I don't get this!

I like attention to get attention, but for bad things.

Example: Smashing my fist through a window......

I think that due to this very board's nature and purpose, it is going to draw those who are the textbook example of "it's all about ME!"...

Have witnessed quite a few individuals with this mindset in my brief stay It's just something to put up with.

Sure, there's a few attention seekers on WP but they're the best. I love them.

They're active funny and better than real life.

plus of course, if I can help out I'm willing to.
