Ok let me explain why I am jealous of adults, First off, my aunt lives with us, and is irresponsilbe, she was evicted out of her apartment after repeatedly making dumb mistakes. She is living with us, yet she can do whatever she pleases. Mom wants to make the excuse that she's grown. she leaves hairs on the bathroom sink, and dirty maxi pads in the bathroom. Now, if I did that, than I would be in trouble. I asked mom why Aunt Boo doesn't have to follow the rules, and she says because Boo's grown. Dad alwys tells me that being grown involves having your own place to live and can take care of yourself. This hussy can't take care of herself and she's 31 years old, everytime something goes wrong, she always comes crying to us for help, what kind of grown up is that? A sorry one. She buys shoes and clothes, the expensive kind, eats out at fancy restaurants everyday, but cannot afford to take care of herself. If being grown is all about age, then why the hell can't that mum of mine consider me an adult. What is the problem with me leaving the toilet unflushed if she leaves pads everywhere(sorry boys)? I am grown too damit, and if i get scolded at again, she will never see me again and I damit mean it. I'll run away and leave the family sad. how funny LOL! I'll be gettin back at her for whipping me.

It sounds like the older adults in your family have the same wrong idea of what constitutes "grown" that the ones in my family do.

I'm not jealous of them. They are pathetic.

that is one pathetic woman and it is sad that the adults in your life do not see what she is truly like.
that is not a 'grown" woman that is a loser who can't take care of herself.

it is unfair to use age to behave so badly.

All you can do is keep your nose clean.

If you can act mature and do your share around the house, THEN start complaining.

They'll have nothing to get you on.

An abusive topic

If you are being physically abused this is not to be tolerated and you must notify someone in a position of trust in order to remedy this dysfunctional situation. :(

Indeed, you cannot allow your mother to treat you like that.

When I was younger I envied my brother that he got to stay up late, and I wished I could grow older fast.
Now I envy children because they get to play all the time...

There will always be someone to envy, but it does no good dwelling on it.

You think there is any objectivity to the notion of 'grown'?
