I find that when I find a new song that I like I tend to listen to it back to back repeatedly, usually until I memorize it. Does anyone else do this?

I love music and if can relate to the music can totally lift my moods, so I can play a little excessively at times, but tend to do in my own space as grow up with a mother - never diagnosed but sure now had aspergers. Anyway, she would play a record over and over, hour after hour - even all night long - use to drive us all crazy....

I am starting to like that song by Sara Bareilles, in the rhapsody.com commercials.

I ran across some old Fleetwood Mac songs that I am liking allot, listening to Rhiannon and Gold dust woman repeatedly. I don't really like their songs where Stevie Nicks isn't the one singing it. My parents used to listen to them allot but I haven't listened to them as an adult. I have also probably listened to several Pink Floyd albums many, many times.

Whenever I get a new song I listen to it several times, over and over, to learn the lyrics and get used to it.

Yes, I repeatedly play it. Then it usually plays in my dreams until it's memorized and sometimes it comes back even when it's old.

Here's a few I like.

Definitely. That's how newer songs on my iPod get a high playcount so quickly.

I also listen to one or two songs while drawing a picture to get the mood right.

oh yes. when I hear a good song on line, radio, or in person, I play it into the ground.

Right now it's "Bitchin' in the kitchen' from the Shock Treatment soundtrack, and "Come Talk To Me" from Secret World Live.

Ahhhhh

Happy days

I do as well. There's about ten songs on my playlist that have 150+ listens, then the rest have between 5-20, and all but one of the ones that are high are ones that I've downloaded since I got my new computer (the other one I was given just before hand, and it's mine and my boyfriend's "love theme").

Looking at it now, it's quite an interesting mix. XD The only vague theme I can pick up on is Disney/OSTs, but half of my music is OSTs anyway.

That is all my son is playing right now on his Ipod.

I have controlled earworms, in that if I think of a song I like it will play in an endless loop in my mind until I change it. 8)

I play songs I can relate to until I get tired of them, then do it again the next day, and so on until my mood changes.

I used to write software at home to Emmylou Harris records. it just felt right.

Yes. It takes a while to get sick of them.

I've been doing that a lot within the past several months. Since December, I've listened to the song "Moonlight Shadow" by Groove Coverage 208 times and I'm still not tired of it.
