I am a mom to my 7yr old son with Aspergers. He is an awesome kid who teaches me more and more about myself everyday. He is a terrific student and loves his video games and loves golf. He plays in the house with a playset and makes up courses around the house. Its neat to watch. He is also into webkins.

I am hoping to learn some things from this forum. I have difficulty with family and friends who just dont understand where I am coming from with my sons diagnosis because he has made such strides since early intervention. Inlaws think I am crazy, friends think he is just bossy and has only child syndrome. Socially he is ok but struggles in some areas. He functions well with lists and a big calendar in the office with everyones schedule on it.

Anyhow, that is me and my son! He is awesome and I hope to learn more about things here.

You will Nate's Mom! I love video games as well, I spend all my weekends playing them.

And I'm 17!

Welcome to WP!

I have 3 sons - 2 diagnosed with Asperger's and my 3rd son is probably Aspie (will seek diagnosis before he starts school).

I find my sons incredibly intelligent, creative and funny. They have taught me so much and I'm so glad I have them.

Unfortunately this comes with parenting an Aspie. What you are describing is the norm with other Mums I have met. Lucky you've joined WP!
