It's silly how the world has come to work. People think that having a piece of paper saying that you can do a certain skill or groups of skills makes you more competent than someone who doesn't. I just don't see the point in it.
We only get one life, one chance to do what we love, one chance to feel alive. What would you rather do? Spend years studying to possibly get a good job with good pay?...or not study, not have a job, but enjoy life the way you want to?
I can completely understand those thoughts. Externally, society stresses the importance of financial success and careers, yet there is this paradox. When you actually look at people’s lives more closely, very few really enjoy their career or see it as the “purpose” of their life. It's all smoke and mirrors. Sure, they may like the idea of making money, but the things that sustain them emotionally are their hobbies and personal lives, not their careers. It’s a lie that school and career is the most important part of life even though it may takes up the most time.
