I have been friends with a guy for about 4 years and I have even developed a crush on me. Secondly, I thought that he really liked me and it turned out that he didn't and that we are just friends.
Third of all, he had acted like he really likes me for thew past two years, however, I have another friend who he is really close too and they have done a lot together. However, I when I came into the picture, he acted interested in me for two years but always spent time with my other friend, but doesn't like her like that. In fact, when I see him on the chat rooms and what not, he always gives her to glory and never honors anything that I do.
Moreover, I am really jealous of their friendship and feel like I am not really high on his list and I have done a lot for him too. In addition, I feel like he uses me to dump on when this other friend
supposedly hurts his feelings or ignores him. And I feel like he is using me to get to her and that really hurts.
However, he also reminds me of a father daughter relationship with my own father and how he chose my sister over me when I was younger. In addition, this guy has things in common with my dad and kind of looks like him in a way. And I have made up with my dad but haven't seen him and 3 and a half years. And when I see this guy, I want attention and I will get really jealous of him when I see him paying more attention to my friend and feeling stepped on.

So, I finally told this guy how I was feeling and cried myself to sleep.

Did I do the right thing?

YES you were right to tell him. If he contnues to treat you that way you should tell him you can't befriend any more .

It sounds like he is using you .

I am sorry to hear about your situation . *hugs*
