Several threads say 0 replies when people have replied

why is this? I clicked on a thread that said that, and there were at least 6 replies.

The server is having a configuration headache. I think Alex or someone messed with some code to try to reduce computation load, yet screwed some thigns up. The package they are running is rather large and has a lot of configuration varibles to factor in. That is no real functional disruption at least, compared to people's random inability to maintain stable connections via his CGI client to Freenode though.
