...explain yourself when you muck up on something?
by this i mean, if your late for something, or you cant quite do something how someone wanted you to, do you feel the need to explain why down to every last detail?

Yes, but I can control the urge fairly well. Except there was one time I left my chemistry book in another hour, and I went up to the teacher (nearly hyperventilating) and explained in one sentence: "Mr. ___. I'm so sorry I left my chemistry under my desk in fourth hour I didn't mean to I just forgot to grab it on my way out I'm so sorry can I please go and get it I promise it will never happen again it was a mistake and it's all my fault I'm sorry." He just looked at me, laughed, and said to go get it. He probably thought I was crazy.

reduced capacity in modulating a verbal response is a very AS feature.

we either give too much info or too little, and if faced with a novel situation we have not learned a rote response we find the modulation of the length and appropriateness of detail in this response difficult.

I used to do that, but I've learnt through experience that most people don't give a sh__ about people apologizing, except in serious cases or when it is obviously warranted. I don't usually do anything that I think is worth apologizing for, and even if I feel I should, most times I don't. Unless I think I've hurt or may have hurt someone, that's usually the only reason.

Oh-ho-ho, YES! It's annoying...I was always end up absolutely RAMBLING, and spewing out this drivel. A few of the teachers have a bit of trouble understanding me, because I talk WAY too fast sometimes.

Yes, because I feel that if I dont people will be wondering why and I hate that feeling! People usually make fun of me for it, but I dont really care coz after 5 seconds they forget about it and I feel better coz I dont have that feeling bugging me!
