Did anyone else play the original Everquest back in its early days?

I started playing in March 2001, which is around the early Velious era. Lately I've been thinking a lot about those times, and I miss them. They just do not make MMO's the same anymore. Plus I got to know a lot of great people through my guild, and it even helped me meet my IRL best friend.

If you have any good memories of Everquest you would like to share, please do so. :)

started playing mid Luclin ( omg i dont know if thats the right spelling anymore). It is a great game if your not looking for bleeding edge graphics. Definatly has the most/best content of any MMO. Stopped playing about 2 years ago, school kind of interfered with it.

I have many a fond memory of makeing UI mods, raiding, playing for 24hrs strait (just to see if i could), TSing ( i love tinkering), hailing npcs for lore infos (definiatyl a strongpoint for EQ) and just making trips to random zones i had never been to. I especiall liked going and getting low level clickys. Boy that was fun. Raiding Veksar was always fun ( i was a necro, it was easy). Plus i would go and camp things for alts ( that throwing item pouch in Emp Ssra Zone, my monk got it at level 7ish)

I been wanting to play too. I hear the newest expansion is a "get all the previous expansions in one" deal. Maybe ill pick it up. It was very addicting though. Maybe its a sign you play to much when you have dreams about playing. Although thats the way it is with all MMOs. Still visit my guild boards every once and a while.

Just out of curiousity, what class were you?
