It's that time again. You, yes, you, the WP public get to vote on what avatar I will be using once I hit 17000 posts.

Now, for those of you who haven't voted in these before, the rules are fairly simple. I post a number of pictures on this page that I have selected as a shortlist of avatar images. You vote for them. It won't necessarily be the one with the most votes that win, but it will be among the top three or four, depending.

In any case, let's get to the candidates!

No.1: I was actually having fun. I know, it was a weird and frightening realization. (Yahtzee)

Image

My current avatar, that of foul-mouthed, sardonic video game critic Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw as he appears in his Zero Punctuation reviews.

No. 2: The world will look up at us and shout 'Save us!'. And I will whisper, 'No.'

Image

Rorschach, obsessed vigilante, from Watchmen, specifically the movie adaptation.

No. 3: Who stole my name?

Image

Jason Flemyng as Professor Bernard Quatermass in the 2005 remake of The Quatermass Experiment

No. 4: It had to be snakes...

Image

Indiana Jones, as played by Harrison Ford in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

No. 5: Allons-y!

Image

The Tenth Doctor, as played by David Tennant

No. 6: Think, then act. Don't act, then think!

Image

Jamie Hyneman, Mythbuster

No. 7: *Evil laugh*

Image

Kefka Palazzo from Final Fantasy VI, as seen in artwork for Dissidia: Final Fantasy

No. 8: This is our planet. We were here before Man

Image

A 'Silurian' from Doctor Who

No. 9: You're both, as they say, 'damaged goods'...

Image

Dominic Greene, the main villain of the upcoming Bond film Quantum of Solace

Okay, so which shall it be?

Here`s an idea, pick one and stick with it. Less confusing for the other members.
Getting tired of the "quartermass new avatar for the N`th time" polls, what is
this, number 38?

If you are a regular member, ok. If you are a mod here (I`m not sure)
its just ridicciolous, use your head.

I do it with every 1000 posts, it's become something of a tradition. Jeez, I didn't post this thread so that I could get posts like this.

And spell my username right, or don't type it at all. Q-U-A-T-E-R-M-A-S-S.

Just letting you know that there are members getting tired of the constant change,
nothing more. Ok, so its a tradition, but its a bad one to many, including me.
Its not fun, its annoying.

My spelling is my buisness, not yours.

Actually, it is my business, because it is the correct spelling of the name, the way I have it. It is named after Professor Bernard Quatermass. No 'Quarter' in it.

My real first name is also often misspelt, which is a pain in the derriere, so you can imagine why I don't like having my username misspelt.

Sorry, but i disagree, my spelling will never be anything close
to being your buisness, at all. No one tells me how to spell,
including you. My fingers, my brain, my words.

Forget this, on with the poll. What should he change to people?
Vote vote vote

If I had to chose one, I would say use the Mythbusters one, reminds me of some of the skits that were on comedy inc. There is no need to fight about spelling, I make mistakes all the time, and English is not his first language.

I'm sorry that I didn't know that English wasn't your first language.

Ava-tar-get topic

I do NOT like the spelling of the name 'Kefka'. Bastardization of The Franz Man's last name.

Cough-ka. Gag  order. He looks like a kook.

I picked the mythbusters one, too. Adam has ADHD while Jamie (pictured) has Aspergers and is the more authoritative one. I don't know they have those conditions but there certainly is a contrast.

^ I've always suspected Jamie Hyneman to have AS too.
