Hi. Im almost 21 years old, and I've had ADD all my life. I've been on medication for my ADD, and have seen psychiatrist before when I was a kid. A few months ago my mom decided I needed to see a psychiatrist again cause of the way I am. My Doctor says I have some symptoms of Asperger's maybe because I have not had alot of friends or a girlfreind before. He's sending me to a psychologist to work with me on how to interact with people he said. I dont think I have a problem with people cause I get along with most people, it's just that I'm shy at times. Also he asked what my interest are and I told him weather. See I've lived in Florida for 11 years until moving back up north two years ago. I'm big on hurricanes. Anyways he did find the never had a gf thing interesting. I mean I want to have a gf and all, but I want a good looking one. At might work there are a few cute college chicks but they go away to school. There is one girl at work who goes away to college I kinda have a crush on and shes hot, but I was always too nervous to tell her about how I feel about her. Anyways can anyone give me advice on dealing with Asperger's and how to overcome it? I dont want people know Im seeing head doctors and all lol. I do work at Home Depot which is very stressful being a cashier and there is another guy my age there who has add and sees a head Dr. also.

Btw anyone know of any good sites to get info at?

just act cool around her and try to flirt. Take a look at the dating article in the Article section, that might give you some pointers. If you like her, you might want to write a note to her. She might like that.

Well I dont know about writing a not lol. I mean this is work. Should I just walk up to her when shes alone and just talk to her and tell her waht my feelings are and if she wants to go out? Did you think she was cute?

Usually, if a girl likes you, she'll come on to you! Of course, she'll eventually change her mind. This has been my experience, at least.

I wouldn't count on this. It is typically expected for men to approach women in our society. Furthermore, even if a woman does flirt with you, you may have difficulty recognizing these nonverbal signals if you have Asperger's Syndrome.

I personally dislike flirting and find it to be a pretentious way of indicating to someone that you are interested in a romantic relationship. My opinion on this subject is not shared by most neurotypical people, however, so you would be better served by following Alex's advice and trying to "play ball," assuming that the woman you're interested in exhibits neurotypical behavior. I've had girls flirt with me and give me very strong and quite obvious (even to an aspie) indications that they like me before. More often than not when I try talking to a girl who doesn't know me, the results are my awkward introduction and a reticent woman.

True. It's a man that always ask a girl out. I wish it was the other way around. If a hot babe came up to me and ask me out I would say hell yea!! I wish it was so easy. I only like hot ones though. The chicks pic I posted I think is really cute and shes always friendly to everyone.

I think you should just ask her if she wants to go out. Personally, I don't find her particularly cute, but I probably have different tastes than you and you shouldn't base your opinion on what other people think.

One time when we were working next to each other on the registers she said "We get to work next to each other" Do you think she was trying to flirt with me? She said stuff like that every once in awhile. How should I react to it?
