I think the W2 is just a family console. Why Wee? If I was caught playing with my wee, I would be sectioned - lol so W2 I call it

I tried it once and it was so hard! Poor coordination.

I really like my Nintendo Wii. I also think the Gamecube was better than the PS2 and Xbox.

Ditto, all a matter of personal opinion.

But, I think xbox 360 and ps3 are better than the Wii. The Wii has done a lot of innovative things but the selection of games is really lacking.

I read an article on IGN that mention the Great Gamecube Depression which I'd have to agree LOL! (After buying Soul Calibur 2 I didn't play it for months) Plus with the Wii we've had Zelda,Mario,Metroid, etc. All within a year 1/2 of it's lifespan. I remember during the Gamecube Mario,Metroid,Zelda were within the last 6 months of that year. So this generation I made the call to have MORE than just a Wii I got a 360 in 2007 and PS3 this year while I got a Wii at launch for Zelda. So I have other games on systems this holiday other than Wii. (and thankfully SO since one of my favorite Franchises of last gen Prince of Persia is ONLY on 360/PS3 NOT Wii.) :-)

Hmmm, I have one myself, We're getting a 360 this year.

I mean, the Wii is more of a party console, I hardly ever play mine, and to be honest, I prefer my PS2...

Did you play Metroid Prime 3? No More Heroes was a jewel too.

I don't care for it either. It just doesn't have any games that interest me and I dislike the control mechanic. It's not precise enough.

Yeah, the controls aren't as exact as on other consoles and the graphics are worse than PS2 graphics.

Instead of graphics they concentrated on gameplay, resulting in graphics worse than the gamecube.

That console couldn't handle Pac-Man

Some of the Nintendo published titles have better graphics than any PS2 game. Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda TP, and Super Paper Mario are good examples.

This is also true for a number of Gamecube titles.

I love the Wii! I think it's my favorite of the systems. But, as has been stated, it's a matter of preference. I am a bit of a Nintendo fanboy though.

Be careful... the IRS doesn't like people playing with tax returns...

As for the Wii... I never got into it, and never understood why I have to exert myself so much to game... If I want to exercise, I head outside and run...

It seems like people are trying to incorporate everything that one should really go outside for (such as socialization) into gaming... and here I am thinking I have no life...

I think Nintendo tried to make the Wii accessible to gamers and people who are not familiar with gaming. They did an excellent job of that, however it can leave familiar gamers unsatisfied because the challenge in the games aren't as challenging as they would be for other consoles. I like the Wii, but I like Nintendo in general.

Mostly because they're the only console company I'm aware of, that has really embraced the female gaming market, and has given female gamers games that they enjoy. Games that even have no appeal to male gamers, which other companies as well as gamer reviewers see as a downside. I think the downside is that for other consoles, there still is a issue of sexism related to the issue of them pretending as if there is no female market for video games.
