Damn, I tried to write a detailed description - but, the iphone apparently doesn't like that, and decided to crash! Again!
Piece of s**t...

In any case; due to the economic situation, my fledgling biological enterprise has - for now - been shelved. It's what I get for being independent...
So, I've fallen back on one of my endless talents: game design.
I'm seeking the support of other companies, but, for now, it's on me.
The tentative title is "Empire". It's an FPS.
It's told from the perspective of an RAAF pilot, Z commando, 9th AIF soldier, and a militiaman.
Basically, there is no pearl harbour. American isolationist movements keep America out of the war until 1946, due to fear of communism, and then, only in Europe.
The politics of the era are important in the story.
It features real weapons used by Australians, such as the Owen, but also, experimental weapons that were not - such as the MCEM 1, Woomera, C-15 Kangaroo and sentinal.
By 1947, allies (mostly Australian, New Zealanders, Chindits, Chinese, native resistance and some British/Dutch/Volunteer Americans) push the Japanese back to mainland Asia.
By then, Britain adds more of it's forces to the pacific, and the Americans send their navy, and a certain egomaniacal general who manages to f**k everything up... You know who.
Then, it becomes real world. Losses are to be too high; so, Britain & the US (development of the bomb, of course, differed without America's earlier involvement). In this scenario, however, the Australians are at least aware of the bombs, as the planes must take off from Australian-led allied territories.
I've thoroughly researched this to make it as realistic as possible.

What do you think?

Because he's Australian, and this is an Australian-centered game. And why the hell not? There have been games centered on American involvement, and ones centered on British involvement... even though there were MANY other nations that fought in World War 2. Now, the Call of Duty series combined different Allied nations, but I don't think there's been a COD game with Australians in it yet (COD3 had Canadians, though.) So this might be an interesting change.

There have, however, been a few games where the roles taken by Australians or New Zealanders have been "swapped" with British or Americans!
At least in this game, the best SMG of WWII will be available - chiefly, the Owen. Didn't have the best range, but you could drown it in mud for a week and it'd still fire!
The tactical situation is completely re-written; Americans had the advantages of numbers, industry and mobility over the Japanese. Australia underwent industrialization in WWII, with a population of only seven million, but had advantages in mobility and the quality and experience of soldiers.
