There are two samples up now. Both are hearable.

You have a very slight southern accent.

I'm from the southern part of Maryland, so maybe that's why.

But you have no accent that I can detect.

Perhaps I'm really tone deaf.

But you have no accent.

Where would you think I was from based on my accent?

I'd say you were based in the midwest-ish area.
I'd say your accent fit's in Indiana quite well.

Slight southern accent, most noticeable on your long vowels.

Your modulation is a little "off." But not much.

I'm told I actually sound very Mid-Western now, the only thing that separates me is the regionalisms I picked up as a child in Maryland and the fact that I learned how to speak English mostly from books.

She doesn't sound like she's from Indiana at all! I thought she sounded more Alabama-ish. I know when I talk, people seem to think I'm from California...

There is some difference in there lol 8O

Very Mid-Western with just a hint of Sountern in you. Not bad. It could be worse. You could have a Jersey accent and live in Florida :?

Did you hear the later one? I used to live in an icky Southern state. Hence the icky Southern accent. And I know I talk funny. That's not all accent. That's partly my crappy voice. I hate myself right now.

Maryland is not that bad of a Southern accent unless you are by the Appalachians. Then it is just in your face obivious. It is a little twangy, but not as bad as some other places...like where I was born ^^

Yeah, I'm from Texas and here in Indiana (moved here ten years ago), people say I either have a really thick accent or no accent at all. Maybe you do the same thing?
