Surely I can't be the only one with this interest...

I have a lot of foreign pop songs on my iPod, and when I have time I look for the translations on Google and I like memorising the lyrics and their English meanings. I have got four translations so far (two Italian, one Romanian, one Russian), and I have memorised the Romanian one, almost memorised an Italian one, partly memorised the other Italian one, and I only just got the Russian one.

Does anyone else like foreign music, or am I all alone, LOL?

Yeah. I used to be obsessed with japanese pop because of my obsession with anime and video games. Now I'm not into games/anime anymore, but I still listen to some. I've just listened to some Ayumi Hamasaki yesterday :) I like korean and chinese pop too, as I have studied Chinese for 3 years and have a friend who's chinese and really into this stuff.
I also listen to French music pretty often, which is probably not so foreign to me because here in Canada it's also an official language. A lot of russian pop as well because I'm Russian :)

I'm really interested in foreign music too, although not specifically pop music. I'm interested in languages and I enjoy listening to music in various languages and with influence of different cultures.

I have a lot of foreign songs. Actually I'm listening to Hungarian music now (a band called NOX).

languages are very cool, and yes, i often find it very interesting to listen to foreign music

also, you can grasp the sound of the culture, through pop as well. in western music, i guess we dont GET the flavour, like trying to taste water, but in foreign pop you can quickly tell the uniqueness, the hint of flamenco in spanish pop, the arabic sound and rythms in arab pop, etc

I love J-pop and J-rock quite a lot, as well as Japanese death/doom metal (I'm pretty much a a borderline weaboo). I like some French, Korean, and Brit pop, if it's not too twee. I'm also fond of German gothic, industrial, and punk music; and any sort of metal, especially Northen European death/dark/doom/goth/symphonic/folk/yoik/viking metal (Finnish folk metal is one of my latest musical obsessions). My wife recently linked me to an interesting Brazillian metal band. Also love old German and Dutch prog, experimental, and avante-garde rock (LPD!). My wife is really into chalga and turbo-folk; but it doesn't really appeal to me.

I listen to tatu who are from russia.
I also think places like finland and all them have good rock bands.
I don't just listen to pop from other countries though, I also like their traditional music, like native american or african etc

I don't see what is wrong with this. Even NTs like to listen to foreign music. I have listened to Guatemalan and South African bands before. They are really cool.

Yeah, I love foreign pop and rock. :3 It started with just J-pop but then I got into all kinds. I think it's partly because I don't really like lyrics I can understand. (Well sometimes I do, but it's really disappointing if the melody/voice is amazing but the lyrics are annoying. XD XD I don't dare look up translations of my favorite songs.)
It's really hard to find new bands though. D:
Some that I like and can remember are Miyavi, (my favorite) Malice Mizer, Alizee, Lorie, Tatu, Hayashibara Megumi, and, uuuh.. hurr, I don't even know. I'm bad at remembering bands. My teacher had this cool CD recently, it was the swinging mademoiselles or something like that.. old French pop. I can't find it for DL online though. D:

With all the time I spent in Asia and the pacific during my time in the Navy, I have several foreign musical performers on my IPOD.

The Japanese group Pizzicato five... I lost count.. I know I have over 15 of their albums. They sing in English and Japanese. Then there's Buffalo Daughter, Cibo Matto, Melt Banana, Fantastic Plastic Machine, Yoshinori Sunahara (who has recorded a concept album about an imaginary underground airport in Tokyo)

I especially like the late Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng.. One of the greatest voices I've ever heard.

Then there's the Filipina singers Donna Cruz and Sharon Cuneta.

April March, an American singer, I guess could be catagorized as foreign, since half of her songs are sung in French. CHROMINANCE DECODER... Excellent album.. every song is excellent

I wonder if anyone has heard of Laibach, a metal band from the former Yugoslavia.. they did a cover of the Beatles LET IT BE album in its entirety.. it's quite good.. and darkly humorous...

A very recent discovery is Senor Flavio, a Mexican singer who does reggae and ska songs in Spanish.

I could go on and on.. but I will stop here for now

During high school I was super into Japanese pop and rock. Gackt was my favorite singer. I'm getting back into Jpop/rock, Malice Mizer and Kaya are my favorites at the moment.

You are in the UK, so it depends on what you mean by "foreign". Do you consider American pop to be "foreign" since it is outside your country? How about when an artist moves? Declan Galbraith was born in the UK and recorded his first album there and now lives in Germany, releasing his next 2 albums there and touring mostly in Asia and eastern Europe. So, is he "foreign pop music" since he no longer lives in the UK or is he still UK pop music?

Myself, I am born and living in America and grew up listening to foreign electronica. Things from the Berlin school of electronic music like Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze, Kluster, etc. Also Japanese electronics like Yellow Magic Orchestra, Isao Tomita, Kitaro, Far East Family Band, etc. Most of this is from before your time, though many of these still record.

Now, as I am working on my Hebrew, I am listening to many albums from Israel.
