Umm, well I can agree to the "young for your age" look, as I've been told by quite a few that I look younger than my age. O.o I have a fair skin tone with hazel eyes. I've also never understood what is up with the "look" thing? Like people won't believe you have it unless you hav...

I have a similar situation where I went through early childhood trauma (I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer at age 6, and events that happened two years before traumatized me too). However, I learned that it's important to figure out which came first? I got an informal DX of Asperger's recently after...

Also, it's hard for me to recognize/prevent/organize the amount of times I repeat information, so I apologize if I mentioned something many times. As goes for previous posts too. :)

I have no idea how to go about saying this as, many times, when I approach these things, I come off the wrong way or get misunderstood. Oh well, here goes... I went in for an evaluation recently with an adult autism specialist (or just specialist) along with my mother. I'd always had a nagging suspi...

Actually, I bought that book recently after flipping through it and realizing that a lot of the things pointed out in the book relate to the way I think. :) Always wondered why I couldn't understand NT's as well.

This sounds exactly like me. I just wish I had the care you have. Your issues are normal for us special types. All I can say is baby steps are the best way to go. Not all people you meet are going to understand you. It took me a long time to even get up the nerve to talk to this girl I am talking t...

I deal with PTSD as well, that in itself can cause depression and so many other problems. I think the baby steps advice is good. But, I wonder if all of the medication you are on isn't interacting with each other and causing you more stress than you need? I'm not suggesting you stop taking it, of c...

It seems as if his Asperger's doesn't affect you too much--that you accept it wholeheartedly. It's actually a pretty rare sight in this Forum: a person who accepts an Aspergian mate unconditionally. Are there times when his Asperger's could be a problem for you? I know my Asperger's has been a sour...

I always do this. I become focused on a song and listen to it on repeat for a while, until I get focused on another. Then the cycle repeats. Lol

I mean, to be honest, I know a lot of my posts on here seemed paranoid about my fiance, but I realized my mistake was in reading between the lines, comparing events now to how things folded out in my past, and not knowing like others what certain things meant. My mistake was in assuming the worst ba...

Well, my discovery is that I have some unspecified ASD.
And yes, the personal story was to be honest about experiences, so I could get a better objective view :)

Oh yeah and I wanted to add an apology for previous posts, like I said I have observed that I have issues reading into people's intentions, which makes me more paranoid and anxious, and there were situations I described on here before that showed my (obvious) paranoias. I wanted to make it clear tha...

*Continued* Okay, I'm back, at another place.... Anyways, (just to get my thoughts together) I left off saying how I felt it was my "self-appointed duty" to fit in. I was so determined to fit in that I actually started off my going to people and asking things specifically. I knew better th...
