I've had it happen to me at times. I've had several episodes lately. It is always in the middle of the night when I have to go up. Before that it hasn't happened for a while, but I have also had it when laying down. I've had a lot of stress and anxiety so I stopped drinking coffe, or just take one c...

We used to have a jackdaw in the house for a while when I was a child, as he hurt his wing after being grabbed by a cat, and he came to us for help. He got better and he would visit every day! Then he found a wife and had little ones in a nest on a chimney of a house opposite, so as he was busy we ...

Hi! Another fan of cats and corvids here, but owls too. My favourite corvid is Corvus corax, the Raven. I see a lot of the cheeky fellas round here. One in particular sits atop a pine tree, the tallest in the vicinity. My wife calls him 'The General'. They remind me of Huginn and Muninn, and in tha...

Welcome back to Wrong Planet. You talked about your love of corvids. I didn't know what that was so I looked it up. A corvid is any of the stout-billed passerine birds in the family Corvidae. Yes it has been a littly difficult during the past couple years when COVID struck and people just seemed to...

Ruined it.

That's a shame, hopefully they will be back one day. I find it very relaxing to watch them.

Lovely! I love crows and other corvids. Thankyou! It's a lifelong dream of mine to befriend a corvid. They're so smart. Never had any in our garden until this year and there's been four young jackdaws hanging around lately so I finally have hope! They're pretty nervy though. That is a good dream! I...

Welcome! Glad you are here. And I am also a cat person. Of course, that seems wise...cats appear to believe they are the superior beings and it seems wise to treat them accordingly, since they are very likely right! Thank you for the welcome! Maybe they have a genetic memory of being worshipped in ...

Thank you! I am glad that there are others here that share my love for cats and corvids!

Clever blue jays! I feel certain that magpies sometimes use their distress call to get rid of competition over food. But I have not heard them imitate another bird...yet. I knew about the eagle, so strange that they do that in movies. They also often use the wrong corvid sounds at the wrong location...

Welcome back! Personally I find connecting with other people on the spectrum can be extremely validating...it can be very lonely and stressful trying to navigate the neurotypical world alone. I value my autistic friends more than anything. I hope you can find something similar here, or whatever you...

Hi! I am not really new but I have not been here for years. I turned 40 this year and I live in Sweden. I love my cats ( and other cats ). Another great love are corvids, I love their beauty, intelligence and playfulness. This year has not been great and it keeps getting worse. It has made me think ...
