It doesn't say whether the governor is going to pay for this out of her private funds or not. If she does that, it should be ok. If not, it's wrong, and it's even more wrong for a Republican since they're all about not getting handouts. Can you imagine if that was a Democratic governor?

I don't see anything in the article that even hints at her being on the autism spectrum. I'm not Canadian, but if I were I certainly wouldn't stop voting for Liberal candidates because they called on someone to resign for insulting people. What if the people she insulted were on the spectrum or disa...

It does seem like she must be on the autistic spectrum somewhere, even if not specifically AS. It doesn't sound like she was ever diagnosed as such, since they mentioned "brain damage" from being deprived of oxygen during birth, but there are many causes of autism. At any rate, she's definitely not ...

Im pretty sure that he has aspergers. He missed the 2005 season battling personal issues and later it was revealed that he was struggling with social anxiety. The sports media in kansas city mocked and criticized him for being wierd and "out there" before 2005 (and they still do to some extent) and...

Dr Brennan and Zack from Bones. Sara and possibly Grissom from CSI. Sara's a little less obvious, but if you watch a fair number of episodes you notice patterns in her behaviour, which is nice that she's not a in your face, so out there its untrue aspie. What about David Hodges? I had always though...

Margaret Atwood doesn't show any signs of an ASD that I can see. She is probably introverted, and I think people can confuse the two at first glance. But you could call 1/3 of the population introverted, so obviously there's nothing abnormal about that. She did write a book Oryx and Crake with an A...

Both Clark Gable and Howard Huges have been quoted as saying that they thought Marilyn had 'autistic' characteristics but who knows. I don't mean to be difficult, but since Clark Gable died in 1960, would he even have known that much about autism to say he suspected someone had it? Supposedly he di...

When it's that far back it's really hard to tell. Usually there isn't enough information.

http://www.missoulian.com/articles/2009/01/08/news/mtregional/news10.txt Interesting article about the theory that the U.S. 19th century explorer Meriwether Lewis (of the Lewis & Clark Expedition) might have been an Aspie. I don't know whether I agree with them or not because I haven't read enou...

But is anyone able to tell me what McCain means...

I've noticed around here (Seattle, WA) the Barnes & Nobles, Border's and independent bookstores tend to put a lot of their books on autism in the Childcare or Child Behavior sections, even when it's a general book on Aspies of all ages like Tony Attwood's.

I am getting to really dislike this guy. I just wrote a response on my blog. Excellent response, srriv345. What gets me too is that he seemed to be implying that Aspies are closed-minded or not open to ideas from others, when he doesn't seem to be too open to ideas from autistic people that challen...

Sounds like he could be an Aspie. I hate that people made nasty comments about him though.
