So the 4'800 $ are for a new server?

Why ta heck not just rent hosting by an external party?
That's WAY cheaper and WAY more professional!

Is Alex playing "server" at home?
I mean is he hosting this whole site on a box at his house?

Either that or it was never advertised and ran so short that I missed it!   HOW do they suppose to make money with a film, no matter how good it is, if they don't sho...

Hi all First off, thanks to everyone of WrongPlanet.net for this great discussion board for us weirdos. Sorry for asking this question if it's been answered elsewhere, I couldn't find it. I noticed there's a "donation" button to the left, stating that the WrongPlanet.net server needs $ 4'800. I also...

I really don't think Animals should be granted rights because, if they are, there is no way of knowing how far it would go. I don't think this is a valid argument against animal rights. The existence of animal rights does not entail what those rights are. I think your fear, that if any one, even th...

well...just remember a horse can weigh 1,000 pounds, so your floors better be well-braced...;) That's very true indeed!! :D Jackie Tresl, the author of said book had to have her husband reinforce all floor boards. I don't see that as a big problem though. Other's reinforce their cars or whatnot. Al...

Awesomelyglorious , it seems to me, you seem to be not only unable to bring forward an argument for your position(s), as you keep repeating yourself, but unable to have a conversation per se, let alone participate in a discussion in a meaningful way. Having a conversation or a discussion means comm...

I don't think you are making arguments, that doesn't mean that what you are doing is illegitimate in an argument. Arguments have more of a structure, neither of us have been providing structure. I disagree. Oh, you have rationales as well, but you have actually been trying to undermine my reasons m...

Awesomelyglorious: Oh boy, you're a real "tough nut" aren't ya? I think you're arguing here for the mere pleasure of arguing. Or boredom? You fail to acknowledge when others make arguments, but insist instead that every argument they make is an effort to undercut your... what was it? your "rationale...

Who holds the power? People do. Exactly. And what comes with power? In case you truly don't know, it's... responsibility. Responsibility to those without power. To children, the disabled, the old, women, etc. Or do you beat, rape and kill them too, just because you can? That's why we kill all of th...

If you don't want to ride a horse, you'll have a very large, expensive pet. Stable fees, taxes, feed, and walking around (horses need exercise, just like people), is going to run into some serious money. Horses can be a little slow mentally (sometimes), so I'm not sure how good a company they'd mak...

Hello mgran I sent you a private message about your post yesterday, perhaps you've missed it? Because I am VERY astonished to, for the first time, have found someone (a woman) who likes horses and seems to share my views and attitude towards horses EXACTLY, I might as well post excerpts of my messag...

Actually, Western civilisation is constantly attacked by Hollywood and Western man is ALWAYS represented as an evil usurper and exploiter of other peoples and animals. Maybe you've just been watching the wrong films. Perhaps I have been watching some of the wrong films. I think to say that Hollywoo...

Um, are you implying that I lack that level of awareness? :? Ugh, couldn't judge that. But maybe your 8-year old daughter does? Or maybe you fear she does? And maybe it doesn't even matter, to your daughter I mean? OK, I know people can be that way. But if you watched the movie Terra, which is a si...

I am considered to have rights though mostly because this is a human society. Oh? How do you define a "human society" then? "Exactly"? By its composition: Let's see, xxx billion people, xxxxx billion cattle, xxxx billion horses, xxx billion dogs, xxx billion cats... Or by being "humane"? Let's see....

I absolutely love it. I have seen it 3 times now, and every time I almost cried and had tears in my eyes. - And I'm not the sentimental type on usual films, Titanic did nothing for me, bored me like heck. There is some more interesting discussion of the film here: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt114...
