Switching pronunciations of the word 'data' based-on whether or not one is at their work, or one is outside of work settings is notable. As a data-analyst, it's best to pronounce 'data' as 'd ay ta.' More importantly, it's best to understand the distinctions amongst data, information, knowledge, wisdom, and value! P.S. I sometimes (not often) pronounce 'data' as 'd a ta' - more rarely, I pronounce 'data' as 'd a h ta' when communicat...

'News Story' discusses 'Christmas Crackers' and the day after Christmas, 'Boxing Day.' Note from 'News Story': The British favor 'Happy Christmas' over 'Merry Christmas.' Personally, I've always preferred the 'Happy Holidays' greeting. News Story: 'Nine British Christmas Traditions That Probably Con...

For young people on the spectrum, say in their teens and twenties, practicing social skills is probably helpful. But I suspect most autistics over 40 or so are probably like me - after decades of trying to overcome our difficulties in social situations we're too tired and burnt out to keep up the e...

It's mostly trial and error. Putting your 10000 hours in. If you're in high school/college, join clubs. Talk to classmates after class. Talk to people in hallways and at lunch. If you're an adult, find some meetups/social events. Do a job where you work with other people. Why? I don't want social i...

One thing about reliable pre-owned cars at least a few years-old is that these cars didn't come built with complicated TECH.

I hope to trade-up to a 2018-2020 hybrid Honda Civic from a 2018 gas-powered Civic with less than 35,000 miles.

In brief, the film, and orginal book would be about an adult on the Autism Spectrum who lives in that difficult to understood part of the spectrum, the struggles of 'not being disabled enough, yet not quite able (NT-like) enough either. The book, and the movie would at times take rather novel, some...

For teh longest item, I've sometimes thought in non-English words - as non-English words (more often than not) may do better jobs in describing those elusive concepts than the English language itself. Examples of non-English words that are "thought favorites": - The German word 'fisselig' ...

The movie would take a meta-narrative theme- that is a postmodern production applying the dynamics of fiction, non-fiction, fiction based-on truth, and vice-versa, sleep dreams, and real-life stories. The movie would feature a few lesser ...
