I see that portable mp3 players come with two types of memory, flash drive and hard drive. What is the difference? I'm looking at 2 2GB Creative Zen models, one has hard drive and the other flash. The hard drive will also allow one to play lossless .wav files. Both have voice recorder capability. I ... |

Hi: I have a CD player in the car, and changing CDs while driving is annoying and more importantly ,not safe. I would like to get a portable mp3 player and get it to work through the car speakers. That would be the cheaper route. Installing a mp3 player into the car would be too expensive. Has anyon... |

I answered my own question in a previous message about the US Army standard for push-ups:
http://www.army.com/enlist/push-ups.html
For my age group, I would pass by doing the required 24, but if I were on active duty, I would need to do 34. |

The vast majority of you people are very young. It's not that unusual, despite what you may imagine, to be a virgin at your ages (teens to early 20's). |

For those of you who can do more than 50 pushups, especially those of you who can do more than 100, how much do you weigh? I weigh 190 lbs and can barely do 25. When I weighed 230, I could do 30. I assumed I would be able to do a lot more when I lost weight. |

Around 5 years ago, I bought a cheapo 100 buck guitar and a 200 buck Seagull, and played for only a year. I stopped mostly because I had trouble fretting, forming chords. The strings felt like cables instead of well, like strings. I needed an iron grip in my left hand to form chords. Changing chords... |

I'm still using 98SE, but am contemplating upgrading to XP before MSFT stops selling them in June. I only have 256MB of Ram with a 1GHZ AMD processor, which was top of the line when I bought this thing 8 years ago. The motherboard is upgradeable to only a max of 376MB, but I don't think this would b... |

What is a pressup? If it's a pushup, I've never heard it called that. Well anyway, with good form, I used to be able to do 30 when I was obese and completely out of shape. To me, good form is to pause or completely stop when the chest is near the ground. No bouncing. Arms wider than shoulder width. ... |

For deconditioning, does one completely take a break for a week, meaning also no cardio? I don't believe I've had one complete week's worth of rest in two years. At the very least, I have been able to lift weights once a week when my motivation was at its lowest. Taking an entire week off is scary b... |

Yes and no. Normally, I looked pissed off, an expression which elicits hostile responses from others, even when I am polite and friendly. Compounding this comedy of errors is my terse, mumbly voice, which also sounds hostile, again, even though I am trying to act like a normal nice guy. So it's both... |

Another aspie friend pointed me to the http://www.hypertrophy-specific.com website - lots of awesome information. Most of the people I show it to at the gym just shrug their shoulders. I found that for a female, it is very hard to increase my load. Most weights go up in 5lb increments. Once I get h... |

Psych: Looks like good info. Nevertheless, eating 5-6 small meals a days in not practical and dividing workouts into 5-10 pound increments is also not practical since I use an adjustable set at home and the variety of poundage doesn't exist. For standing bicep dumbbell curls, i used to do two sets o... |

Weight loss, losing fat and gaining lean muscle mass are my goals. I've lost 35-45 pounds in the past year and a half. I did it through proper nutrition and exercise, consisting of walking 3 miles ata time, 2-4 times a week, and weightlifting, 2-3 times a week, from 45 to 2 hours a day, depending on... |
