I would suggest talking to her doctor and see why she has the need to do this. I have had a problem for almost the past year now where my tubes that are suppose to drain pressure from my ears to my nose are either plugged or not working properly and the doctor cannot do anything except tell me to do...

I am waiting to see what my review will be like (especially considering I see my coworkers/management face to face for only 4 days this year).

I have been thought them though at IBM. Sounds similar to your except for a few minute differences.

I used to live in Upstate New York (Buffalo NY) and I will tell you what most people have told anyone 20 - 35 living in that part of the state. "Get the f**k out of there". Look at places like Charlotte NC where many upstate New York residents have resettled. You probably got the degree because due ...

I am extremely good with direction although when telling other people, I get it mixed up. The only time I ever got lost was when I went with my family to visit some friends in Central Pennsylvania (the hamlet we were visiting was not even near a state route). Also, once I have been to a place, I wil...

Going to the media does not always work either. About 1 1/2 years ago, a family went to the media about their fight with the district and the attitude of quite a few people was that they did not care. The districts attitude was that the parents were simply looking out for their child (as if that was...

What do you mean college? I had a High School teacher like that. She told us that we should read certain books because those are the books that the test scorers would know about the most rather than books that we enjoyed. Talk about male bovine manure.

I would have thought so too scots until I met a student on my bus route whose adoptive parents should never had been allowed to adopt them. Apparently in Minnesota, social services is so deperate that only those with a record related to child abuse would be barred from adopting (and that I even wond...

I do not see why not. In fact, state child services departments have such a hard time adopting special needs and older children that they almost are willing to allow anyone to adopt them.

What you need to do is the get a speech doctor to signify that he needs speech therapy based on his performance compared to the performance of a normal child at 3.5 years of age regardless of his label. The school cannot ignore what is in black and white. If they do, you can request a fair hearing a...

Actually, Has Asperger lived until the late 1970s. Unfortunately, most of his work was ignored until Lorna Wing, in the search for answers in her own research projects, stumbled upon his paper in the early 1980s (in other words, he did not live to get the recognition he deserved but then neither did...

Having an IEP under IDEA should not keep your child from attending college and possibly getting scholarships (in fact, he may be eligible for scholarships that others are not). Even the law pertaining to transition services in IDEA states that college preparation must be considered for special needs...

But you forget one thing, We the employee are also allowed to show as much loyalty to the employer that they show to us. I remember months back that there was an article on CNN about employers getting mad at employees who put their resume as available on sites such as Monster.com. There was a backla...

I think the company will lose on this one but then they will change their policy to force smokers to pay a higher rate for their health insurance (which is what they should have done anyways). The company may not be allowed to tell a person what the can and cannot do in their own home but they certa...

Lets see where to begin, I know, at how he is classified under the law: 1) Did the school consider him for classification under IDEA rather than Section 504 and if they denied him protection under IDEA, what was their reasoning. Simply put, IDEA offers better protections than section 504 and the IDE...

I do not know if he was ousted because he has AS or not but if he was the creator of the method for BitTorrent, then let this be a lesson learned on why you should keep control of you innovations.
