Why don't you try applying for a job and not telling them you are autistic?

If you really want to be a writer, and if you can accept a bit of constructive well-intentioned criticism, you have to start writing with the active voice instead of the passive voice which permeates your posts. For instance, scrub the phrase "seem to think" from your vocabulary.

You are 40. You are not old. You can do it. I lost everything I had at age 50. I was able to pick myself and rebuild my life, in no small part because I didn't think I was too old to give up. I could have thrown in the towel and limped through life -- I didn't catch a real break until I was 53 -- bu...

I personally seem to think why can't people carry on with doing something until they really can't physically do it anymore. Obviously I do understand for example a 60 year old probably can't become a boxer because of the age but I mean it's in the music industry, film industry etc surely they shoul...

My professional view is that Microsoft Teams is vastly inferior to Zoom. Perhaps Teams does the job for internal remote meetings within the company, but anytime I get a Microsoft Teams invite, be it from my clients or otherwise, I'm bummed. My autistic view is that Teams AND Zoom are difficult to de...

At my wife's request, I am seeing her trusted homeopath tomorrow for a consultation regarding my autism. I am quite skeptical. I am fairly certain that she (the homeopath) believes vaccinations may cause or contribute to autism. For my wife's sake, I have agreed to be open minded. Does anyone have a...

I know "can" isn't the right word, but some people ask "can you" because it gives a softer out if the answer is no. Can you? ----- No, I can't (because I'm busy, because I don't know how, etc.) Will you / Would you? ----- No, I won't (This sounds much more harsh.) I think the OP...

Isn't part of the assignment is to demonstrate those social skills? I don't think it is; it's an anthropology class so the "talking to people" is really just a means to learning about those people. But yes, I understand everyone has something they struggle with. I just can't imagine anyon...

Hello! I have been interested to know your thoughts and your experience on the use of psychedelics, for whoever that has tried those if they are happy to share. What is your experience with those? Whatever the psychedelic substance, MDMA, psilocybin, LSD, or even ayawaska, is anyone here willing to...
